This episode is pretty special because today I’m joined by one of my clients, Elizabeth Chappell. Elizabeth is a fabric designer, author, and online educator. In her Craft to Career Podcast she teaches other creatives how to turn their craft into a successful career. Elizabeth started an online subscription box for quilters in 2016, and since then has grown a successful multiple six figure business in the quilting industry. Her biggest passion, however, is coaching and teaching others how to turn their craft into a career.
Today I’m shining the light on Elizabeth and she’s sharing how she quadrupled enrollment in the course of a year!
In this episode…
“I learned the importance of smart marketing and smart advertising…” At 1:15, Elizabeth shares a little more about herself, her journey, who she serves and what she helps them do. We dive right into her journey of quadrupling her course enrollment and what it was like before her enrollment increased.
“I just felt trapped…” At 9:24, Elizabeth tells us her experience with an ads agency that didn’t go too well and what she would do differently if she could go back and how she knew it didn’t feel right to be working with them.
“The bigger question is why did you ever do Facebook ads again, because it was so traumatizing…” At 17:00, Elizabeth shares how she got through the rollercoaster of her revenue going up and then sinking. Plus, she tells us what she did to regroup and move forward after such a discouraging moment and how she was open and trusting to hire another ads agency.
“A lot of these people haven’t signed up for my course, this could be a really great touchpoint for them to know, like and trust me…” At 24:35, Elizabeth shares what she is doing with the list of unqualified people who did not enroll in her course.
As always we end the show with Michelle’s Hot Minute where I’m asking Elizabeth a round of rapid fire questions!
