It’s day 4 of the 12 days to create the perfect FB ad!

Whether you’re selling a car or toothpaste, in order for your marketing to be successful…your messaging has to be on point. It all starts with getting to know your perfect person.

So how do you get to know your perfect person? I’m so glad you asked.

It’s more than just age and gender.

You can really get precision targeting by getting to know their interest, behaviors, demographics, and even relationship status.

Here are some ideas of questions to ask about your perfect person. Think beyond age, gender, and where they live…

  • Where are they shopping?
  • Who are they following on social media?
  • What books are they reading?
  • What TV shows are they watching?
  • What events are they attending?
  • What magazines are they reading?
  • What associations or groups are they a member of?
  • What religion are they?
  • Are they a parent and of what age?

Then lastly it’s their behaviors

  • Are they an admin of their Facebook page?
  • What are their job titles?
  • What colleges did they go to OR did they go to college?
  • What’s their relationship status?
  • Religion
  • Are they an ios user or android user?
  • What tools are they using?

Make a list of as many you can think of and just do a huge brain dump.

Now, the most important part of getting to know your perfect person… is diving so much deeper

Are you ready??? Get a pen and paper ready and you may have to rewind and rewatch this episode…

  • What is your perfect person’s big desire/result they want to achieve?
    • What is the transformation
  • How does your perfect person want to feel?
    • Happy, powerful
    • Unstuck or less overwhelmed
  • What is their current situation?
    • Are they struggling with tech
    • Are they living paycheck to paycheck
  • What is their desired situation?
    • Freedom
    • Fit into their skinny jeans 
  • What is keeping them from getting their desired situation on their own?
    • What excuses or reasons are they giving
  • What keeps them awake at night, indigestion boiling up their esophagus, eyes open, staring at the ceiling?
  • What are they afraid of?
  • Sometimes it could even be afraid of success

Take some time with these, do some research so no stone goes unturned.

Once you have all the answers to these questions, crafting your message will be easier than you think.
